Digitalisation process: from electronic signature to archiving

Dear Members,
Dear insurance lawyers,

AIDA and ALJB are proposing a series of three theorical and practice-oriented sessions on legal aspects of
digitalisation processes in insurance companies.

The 1st session (8th of June) “How to prepare to digitalisation” will address legal questions before starting the digitalisation
process: Should our documents be accepted, signed or neither? Could certain legislative elements be a hindrance to digitalisation (ex. IDD)? How to demonstrate that the customer has agreed to the terms?

The 2nd session (14th of June) “Electronic Signatures” goes into the eIDAS Regulations, description of the 3 types of signatures
(simple, advanced, qualified), the risks involved and how to avoid certain traps.

The 3rd session (21st of June) “Digitalisation/Archiving of documents” discusses the legal aspects of the electronic archiving
of contracts and related documents, including GDPR aspects, subcontracting questions and Security IT (backup vs
archiving).

These sessions are presented by Me Audrey RUSTICHELLI, Head of the Technologies & IP department and of the
Commercial Contracts practice, and by Me Nicolas HAMBLENNE, Senior Associate within the Technologies & IP
department and of the Commercial Contracts practice, both at PwC Legal Luxembourg.
